## Default answer

Example with the default inputs (Count from October 19, 2026) on the example date Monday, October 19, 2026: From October 19, 2026, there are 192 days until the NFL Draft on Thursday, April 29, 2027.

## Inputs

| Key | Label | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| from | Count from | The date to count from. Today, unless you change it. |

## Outputs

| Key | Label | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| days | Days until the pro football draft | Whole days from the start date to the next NFL Draft; 0 on the day itself. |
| date | Date | The next date of the NFL Draft on or after the start date. |
| weekday | Day of the week | The weekday of that date. |
| weeks | In weeks | The same number of days in weeks and days. |

## Method

Find the first date of the NFL Draft on or after the start date, then count the days from the start date to it.

## Assumptions

- The NFL announces the draft dates each year: the 2027 NFL Draft runs from Thursday, April 29, to Saturday, May 1, 2027, in Washington, D.C. The count is to the first day, April 29.
- Start dates from June 25, 2026 to April 29, 2027 work, because the NFL announced the 2027 Draft dates on June 25, 2026, and has not yet announced a later one.
- The start date itself is not counted: from the day before, the count is 1; on the day itself, it is 0.
- Dates are calendar days with no time of day, so a time zone or a daylight-saving change never adds or loses a day.
