## Default answer

Example with the default inputs (Qualified views per month 1,000,000, RPM $0.50): 1,000,000 qualified views a month at an RPM of $0.50 earn $500.00; with other income that is $500.00 a month or $6,000.00 a year.

## Inputs

| Key | Label | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| views | Qualified views per month | The views that count for pay in a month, from your creator analytics. |
| rpm | RPM | What you are paid per 1,000 qualified views, from your creator analytics. Typed by you. |
| other | Other income per month | Gifts, subscriptions, brand deals or other pay in a month. Leave empty for none. |
| goal | Income goal per month | A monthly income you want, to see the qualified views it takes. Leave empty to skip. |

## Outputs

| Key | Label | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| monthly | Earnings per month | Views pay plus other income, for one month. |
| viewPay | Pay from views | Qualified views × RPM ÷ 1,000, for one month. |
| yearly | Earnings per year | Earnings per month × 12. |
| daily | Earnings per day | Earnings per year ÷ 365. |
| needed | Qualified views needed per month | The views that reach the income goal at this RPM, after other income, rounded up to a whole view. |

## Method

pay from views = qualified views × RPM ÷ 1,000; per month = pay from views + other income; per year = per month × 12; per day = per year ÷ 365; views for a goal = (goal − other income) × 1,000 ÷ RPM, rounded up.

## Assumptions

- The RPM you type stays the same. Real pay per view changes with the audience, the season and the video.
- Only qualified views earn the RPM. Other income is a flat amount per month.
- Earnings are before tax. The IRS counts this income as taxable, and self-employment tax applies from $400 of net earnings a year.
- Arithmetic is exact on the typed decimals; money shows to the cent, halves up.

## Worked examples

1. views = 1,000,000, rpm = $0.50 gives viewPay = $500.00, monthly = $500.00, yearly = $6,000.00, daily = $16.44. 2. views = 250,000, rpm = $0.80, other = $120.00 gives viewPay = $200.00, monthly = $320.00, yearly = $3,840.00. 3. views = 100,000, rpm = $0.60, other = $100.00, goal = $1,000.00 gives needed = 1,500,000, monthly = $160.00. ## FAQ

### How do I estimate my TikTok money?

Multiply your qualified views by your RPM and divide by 1,000, then add other income such as gifts or brand deals. A million qualified views at a $0.50 RPM pay 1,000,000 × 0.50 ÷ 1,000 = $500 a month.

### What is RPM?

Revenue per mille: what you are paid for every 1,000 qualified views. Your creator analytics show it. This page does not look it up; you type it, because it changes from creator to creator and month to month.

### What is a qualified view?

A view that counts for pay under the program’s rules, which set things like video length and how long someone watches. Your analytics show the number; total views are usually higher.

### How many views do I need to make $1,000 a month?

Divide the goal by the RPM and multiply by 1,000. At a $0.60 RPM with $100 of other income, you need (1,000 − 100) × 1,000 ÷ 0.60 = 1,500,000 qualified views a month.

### Do I pay tax on creator earnings?

Yes. The IRS says income from online platforms must go on your tax return, even without a Form 1099. If your net earnings from self-employment are $400 or more in a year, self-employment tax (15.3%) applies too. This page shows earnings before tax.
