### What is eDPI?

eDPI (effective dots per inch) is your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity. It puts the hardware setting and the game setting into one number, so two players in the same game can compare how fast their aim moves.

### How do I calculate eDPI?

Multiply the DPI by the sensitivity: eDPI = DPI × sensitivity. At 800 DPI and a sensitivity of 0.4, eDPI = 800 × 0.4 = 320.

### How do I keep the same eDPI when I change my DPI?

Divide your eDPI by the new DPI to get the new sensitivity. To keep an eDPI of 320 at 1600 DPI, set the sensitivity to 320 ÷ 1600 = 0.2. In the calculator, enter the eDPI and the new DPI and leave the sensitivity empty.

### Can I compare eDPI between different games?

No. Each game turns its sensitivity number into a turn angle in its own way, so the same eDPI turns you a different amount in different games. Compare eDPI only between players of the same game.

### Is a lower or a higher eDPI better?

Neither. A lower eDPI needs more mouse movement to turn, which can help small, precise aim; a higher eDPI turns faster for the same movement. It is a personal preference.

### Is DPI the same as CPI?
