How to calculate
Counts the days from today, or any date you choose, to the next Halloween, with its date and day of the week.
Example with the default inputs (Count from September 29, 2026) on the example date Tuesday, September 29, 2026: From September 29, 2026, there are 32 days until Halloween on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Method: Find the first date of Halloween on or after the start date, then count the days from the start date to it.
- Halloween is October 31 every year.
- Start dates from January 1, 1900 to December 31, 2400 work, because the date field accepts that range.
- The start date itself is not counted: from the day before, the count is 1; on the day itself, it is 0.
- Dates are calendar days with no time of day, so a time zone or a daylight-saving change never adds or loses a day.
