How to calculate
Estimates a creator’s earnings per month, year and day from qualified views and the RPM (pay per 1,000 qualified views) you type, plus other monthly income, and the views needed for an income goal.
Example with the default inputs (Qualified views per month 1,000,000, RPM $0.50): 1,000,000 qualified views a month at an RPM of $0.50 earn $500.00; with other income that is $500.00 a month or $6,000.00 a year.
Method: pay from views = qualified views × RPM ÷ 1,000; per month = pay from views + other income; per year = per month × 12; per day = per year ÷ 365; views for a goal = (goal − other income) × 1,000 ÷ RPM, rounded up.
- The RPM you type stays the same. Real pay per view changes with the audience, the season and the video.
- Only qualified views earn the RPM. Other income is a flat amount per month.
- Earnings are before tax. The IRS counts this income as taxable, and self-employment tax applies from $400 of net earnings a year.
- Arithmetic is exact on the typed decimals; money shows to the cent, halves up.

How it works
- Pay from views = qualified views per month × RPM ÷ 1,000.
- Earnings per month = pay from views + other income per month (0 when empty).
- Earnings per year = earnings per month × 12. Earnings per day = earnings per year ÷ 365.
- Qualified views needed for a monthly income goal = (goal − other income) × 1,000 ÷ RPM, rounded up to a whole view. It is 0 when other income alone reaches the goal.
Every rate is typed by you; the page fetches no platform data. The arithmetic is exact on the typed decimals, and money is rounded to the cent (halves up) only when shown.
Rules
- Qualified views are a whole number from 0 to 10¹² a month. RPM from $0 to $1,000. Other income from $0 to $10 billion a month, or empty. The goal is more than $0 and at most $10 billion a month, or empty.
- With a goal above the other income and an RPM of $0, no number of views reaches the goal, so there is no answer. A goal that needs more than 10¹⁵ views a month has no answer too.
Output format. Money to the cent; views needed as a whole number.
Worked examples by hand
1,000,000 views at $0.50. 1,000,000 × 0.50 ÷ 1,000 = $500 a month. × 12 = $6,000 a year. ÷ 365 = $16.44 a day.
250,000 views at $0.80, $120 other income. 250,000 × 0.80 ÷ 1,000 = $200; + $120 = $320 a month, $3,840 a year.
Goal $1,000 a month at $0.60 with $100 other income. (1,000 − 100) × 1,000 ÷ 0.60 = 1,500,000 qualified views a month. The 100,000 views you have now pay 100,000 × 0.60 ÷ 1,000 = $60, so you earn $160 a month.
Goal $100 at $0.70, no other income. 100 × 1,000 ÷ 0.70 = 142,857.14, rounded up to 142,858 views.
Other questions people ask
How do I estimate my TikTok money?
Multiply your qualified views by your RPM and divide by 1,000, then add other income such as gifts or brand deals. A million qualified views at a $0.50 RPM pay 1,000,000 × 0.50 ÷ 1,000 = $500 a month.
What is RPM?
Revenue per mille: what you are paid for every 1,000 qualified views. Your creator analytics show it. This page does not look it up; you type it, because it changes from creator to creator and month to month.
What is a qualified view?
A view that counts for pay under the program’s rules, which set things like video length and how long someone watches. Your analytics show the number; total views are usually higher.
How many views do I need to make $1,000 a month?
Divide the goal by the RPM and multiply by 1,000. At a $0.60 RPM with $100 of other income, you need (1,000 − 100) × 1,000 ÷ 0.60 = 1,500,000 qualified views a month.
Do I pay tax on creator earnings?
Yes. The IRS says income from online platforms must go on your tax return, even without a Form 1099. If your net earnings from self-employment are $400 or more in a year, self-employment tax (15.3%) applies too. This page shows earnings before tax.
